Undercover Landscapes has worked closely with many clients to create attractive, environmentally considerate, outdoor learning  and play areas that are the envy of other Child Care providers. We have designed and constructed unique playground refurbishments to suit the individual needs and challenges each centre faces. Most of our works are completed in  ‘live’ Child Care Centre environments so it is imperative that our WH&S systems ensure a safe working environment not only for our workers, but also for the carers and their children. Working with the environmental surrounds leads to the use of natural timber products and non-offensive colour schemes and materials. We aim to provide a sensory experience that will excite and entertain Children and their Carers.

Scope of works

Undercover Landscapes recently completed another Child Care construction for North Sydney Council in Cammeray NSW. As with most of our previous constructions in child care centres, the works were completed in a live environment. Again our WH&S systems ensured a safe working environment not only for our workers, but also for the carers and their children.

Project Highlights

The Cammeray Children's Centre project was a complex project with many highly detailed elements constructed in an environmentally sensitive area amongst the beautiful existing Angophora trees.

The works at Cammeray consisted of the design and construction of hardwood timber decks, solid steel fencing, stainless steel handrails, sandstone sand pit, meeting places, hardwood timber Tee Pee, timber play elements, water features, raised steel framed and hardwood lined vegetable planter boxes, speaking tubes garden beds, turf, rubber softfall and natural timber seating. Undercover Landscapes worked closely with North Sydney Council and Fiona Robbe of Architects of Arcadia to create beautiful, environmentally considerate, safe and secure outcome that the local community can be very proud of.
